Design for Education

Graphic and Industrial Design, Design Strategist, UX Design, AI Design and Illustration

With a Bachelor Degree in Graphic and Industrial Design, I have over 20 years of experience designing for children, including 2.5 years as a Senior Designer at Hasbro, creating educational video games for iconic brands such as Play-Doh and Peppa Pig, as well as creating physical and digital products for TV shows. In addition to my educational degree, I have been studying early childhood development at Harvard University since 2021 (in-person and online programs). Currently, I am studying AI and Machine Learning with a focus in Data Science, a program at MIT.

Senior Designer at Hasbro

During my 2.5 years at Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, I worked as a Senior Designer in multiple projects simultaneously (Play-Doh, Peppa Pig, Find Your Fun Studio Branding and Marketing division). I was responsible for creating and defining an innovative and contemporary art style for the Play-Doh and Learn with Peppa Pig mobile apps, as well as the concept animations for the games, brand style guides, UX and UI designs and visual designs for the mobile games in all the app stores and social media. I was also the connection between the Art and Design Team with the Tech and QA Teams, supporting assets implementation through asset management and Design Systems and clear documentations. With my keen eye for details, I was responsible for all final visual QA for all the projects that I was involved.

Branding

Find Your Fun is a studio owned by Wizard of the Coast, Hasbro, responsible for creating children’s digital games. As part of my work, I created the whole studio brand guidelines, including logo animations, web pages, visual design for marketing on social media and app stores, including extensive competitor analysis.

I have completed with excellence an AI Design certification course, with the Head of AI Design for IBM (The Weather Channel), Robert Redmond.

During my studies, I designed a mobile app to support patients with chronic diseases, having AI as the main system. I defined not only the UX and UI designs, but how machine learning would be part of each aspect of the app and what type of algorithms would be used for the whole project.

Animations

Using Procreate for concept animations and Adobe After Effects for final results, I created fun and creative animations not only for digital games, but also for brand engagement and promotion.

I recent worked at the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, a national Non-Profit Organization dedicated to protecting children from online sexual abuse on a global scale. In my role as a Design Consultant, I was responsible for establishing the design workflow and systems, as well as developing engaging visual assets for educational programs implemented in schools across Canada.

Illustrations

“My passion for drawing since I was a child was the reason why I chose design as my career. Through my illustrations, I have expressed my passion for designing for children.”

Kid’s Products

I owned an online company, which I designed children’s products for bedrooms and event decorations. All the products were designed to be multifunctional; as a decoration piece and for toy storage.

A famous TV host of a popular kid’s event TV show in Brazil saw my products on social media and invited me to work with her on the TV Show called “Fazendo à Festa” (Making the Party), where I designed and produced the decoration pieces for the themed episodes (sweet tables for kid’s parties).

TV Shows

During my career, I have been designing for some projects for TV shows, as a Graphic, Industrial and Floral Designer.

Volunteer Work

I volunteered at different Non-Profit Organizations, such as Spelling Bee of Canada, creating illustrations, brand guidelines, animations, and projects for children's development.
